9sc or 40sc

I know this may have been covered before. But I would like to know from people that may have a 40sc and a 9sc. I have a 9sc and am really thinking about tradeing it or selling it for a 40sc.

Thumbs up

Get the .40. I have both .40sc and 9mmsc and a 9mm service as well. I like the .40 in a sc alot. My wife likes it too.

Re:

I have a .40sc and I am really happy with it. If you get the .40sc they will have a drop in barrel in the near future for the 9mm.

The .40 is going to have a little more muzzle flip and the .40 has more knockdown power. You can debate shot placement and all that jazz but I'd rather have the .40 and you can always get the drop in barrel for the 9 when it comes out if you so desire a 9. The best of both worlds I think.

About the only complaint I have about the .40sc is the recoil/guide rod system. Mine is coming unscrewed and I have to make sure to keep it tighten during range sessions. I need to call Springfield and get another one, the guide rod/spring should not come un-screwed.

If you shoot great with the 9 you should stick with it. Each person shoots different with different weapons. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Peace.

I like ballistics of the .40 for self defence. It has the velocity of the 9mm with the impact of the .45 and still in a smallish frame.

I chose the SC only for one thing....to carry. I fell in love with the XD and had to have another one...... I wanted to carry an XD so I bought the .40SC I carry this gun for personal defence and I dont want a smaller/slower bullet when the **** hits the fan.

Its funny that i shoot better with my 45 than my 9mm. i will have to go to the range and see if i can shoot a 40 and see how much i can get for my 9mm

Basically what TX1911 said minus the problems.
