PPQ or XDm 9mm?
If this isn't the right forum - please let me know...
I'm looking to purchase my next 9mm. I have an LC9 and 92FS plus I already have 2 XDm'x (.40 & .45) and was looking at an XDm 9mm (OD/black 19+1)
I have recntly been seeing lots of positive buzz around the PPQ 9mm.
Any benefits or negatives to picking one over the other?
thanks...

Do a search of this forum, you'll find a fair bit of love for the PPQ on here. But also know this is an XD forum
In general, this is not an XD/XDm fanboy forum. There is a healthy support of all firearms on this site (well, almost all).
Welcome to the site, hope you stick around.

I know and I did search, or so I thought . But didn't see much, other than a post in the WTB thread.
I do have 2 Xdm's and love them, but am always looking to see what's out there.
thanks for the welcome

I own a Walther P99 in .40 and a XDm in 9mm. Given what I know now, I would have gone with the PPQ in 9mm over the XDm. In fact, the PPQ is next on my wish list.

My friend bought the ppq 40 and I bought the xdm40, the xdm eats all of the ammo I give it with no issues at all and the ppq has had to many ftf's (25 out of 500rnds). The ppq has a great stock trigger, feels good in my hand (not as good as the xdm), shoots accurate, and looks good but the ftf's have turned me off a bit. Maybe he got a bad one I don't know, I think he is gonna send it back to walther.

Can't see how you go wrong with either, based on owning 2 XDM's and what I've heard of the PPQ. Any chance you can shoot both before deciding?

I'd say go with the PPQ. I've owned XD's, Glocks, Kahr, and now Walthers. I'm down to Walthers only now as I feel they are the finest pistols in the world.

ppq is a great gun. the only "con" i can think of is that the mag release is on the trigger. it is actually a little bit quicker than the standard mag release but you might want to keep all your guns the same for the sake of training. now if you only had walthers and h&k's, id lean towards the ppq more.

The mag release is "on" the trigger guard, not the trigger itself.
