3mm does not equal 0.125 inches. 3mm is actually smaller than 0.125 inches.

3mm diam roll pin is nominal size. actual diam ranges from 3.12~3.30
.125" is nominal size. actual size is .131 ~ .138 (3.32mm ~ 3.5)
you run the risk of the .125 pin being too large and binding up your striker. or the pin not fitting properly in the hole.
i would stick with the metric M3 X 16, IMO.

a 5/32" (0.15625) hole and pin does not bind the striker, so 0.125 will not either. it just will not fit the hole very well, if at all, and you risk damaging the slide.

3 x 16 is pretty easy for me to remember as in my mind I made a clever association.
