Unhappy No one wants my money...

I live in the PRNJ and got my permit to purchase a week or two ago.

I've been asking all of the web sites and either they don't have a XD9SVC/Trijicon in stock or don't have the 10rnd mags to go with them. Some don't even respond.

So now I'm contemplating putting out $615 to order one locally.

Has anyone else run into this?

Jim

Most places don't even list it with the 10rd mags so I can see where it could be a pain to find the ones for you guys. Did you ask these guys when they expect them in stock?

Talking to day to a local gunshop

I don't blame the other guys a bit for not stocking them. Some of the prices on the internet that are in stock with the 15 rnd mags are well below the quote I get for ordering with the 10rnd. That stinks.

Going to talk to Rob in Woodbridge Auto Parts. He replied he can help me.

Regards,

Jim

As I do not live in N. J. I might have this all wrong, BUT I was under the impression that N.J. allowed up to 15 round mags in their state. A friend of mine who lives in N.J. called SA about purchasing a XD9 and wanted to know about the mags (16 round) and their answer was they would have to send a 15 rounder out to anyone who lives in N.J. Also, though not always 100% correct, on packin'.org they say 15 rounders are legal in N.J. Now I'm under the impression that N.Y. and Calif. only allow 10 round mags as max. So, 15 rounders might be in your future. Either way, good luck in your quest.

Thumbs up Hi Cap Mags

I find this very interesting.

Last year when I was looking for 20rnd straight mags for service rifle competition, I found out that the magazine capacity is 15 rounds max in NJ. So I had to buy straight, 10 rnd mags from Bushmaster. I was OK with that. At the time, I thought I read that the mag cap for handguns was 12 rounds.

Now, looking at NJ Statutes 2C:39-1, Section Y, any firearm (... any handgun, rifle, shotgun, machine gun, automatic or semi-automatic rifle...) cannot have a magazine capacity of more than 15 rounds.

I thank you all for pointing this out. For some reason I had the number 12 stuck in my head. I guess the resellers I contacted don't know this either so they didn't point that out.

Jim, you might want to check out Ready Aim Fire in Bristol, PA (http://www.rafire.com) They do a fair bit of business with NJ folks as they are just across the river from burlington. Give 'em a call (ask for Mark) and see what they can do for you.

Hope this helps.
