I'd like to know what you guys consider fair value for a lightly used XD 40 (400 rounds or so), with the original carry case and mags, plus two high capacity mags and a paddle holster.

Also, is it worth the price difference to get an XDm instead of an older XD?

Not really.

I'd take $400 for this. I took my gun into Gander Mountain and the local gun shop, they both offered me between $250 - $300, which was just too low.

/sigh. Guess I better knock out 48 more posts so I can try posting it here.

You will never get as good a price from a shop or store as you will from a private transaction.

You can always try posting on your local forum or Armslist or outdoorstrader. I've bought quite a few guns this way. The seller gets more than what a store will offer and I get a good deal without having to pay sales tax or transfer fee.

Over here in GA, you could get $400 for that pretty quick on our forum.

I got $400 for a similar set-up that included the factory night sights.

I picked up a stainless SC 40 for $350 last week in great condition. He was eager to sell. They go for $400 all day.

Did you try Bud's online? I've seen them offer more than a gunshop and their prices are less.

I got my 9mm new for 480. I would think 375 to 400 for that one.
