heare in NC its 3 days if you get a permit from the sheriff dep thats good for 5 years from date issued, and you can get only get 8 per year. its unlimited on how many you can buy if you have a ccw.

One of the nice things I liked about getting my CHP here in NC, it was a total of ten mins to fill out the paperwork. I think they made a copy of my permit and drivers license. It did beat the last time few times I bought handguns, that's for sure.

Haha, not sure if that's directed toward Massachusetts but in mass I think you can only carry 10 rounds. Not sure if they've changed in recent years but you used to not be able to carry hollow points either or they would arrest you. Big reason why I moved to Florida, I can carry as many guns as I want and as many rounds as each of them can hold haha. Also no wait period with a CWL, buy right over the counter and your license is good for 7 years down here.

yup. Manufacturers must pay a fee to register each handgun model in CA, but cannot charge consumers - therefore, you ALL pay more because of our stupid state.

Just a sampling of what we must think about here in the Socialist Republic of California:

-1 handgun/month
-10 day waiting period on all firearm purchases
-10 round mag limit
-No hunting dogs for bears, mountain lions, etc
-No GPS collars for hunting dogs
-No lead bullets
Concealed Carry permits subject to your sheriff's discretion (Thank God I live in the Ag part of the state where our sheriffs know the Constitution and believe an armed citizen is one more citizen that can protect him/herself)
-CA does NOT recognize ANY other state's CCW
-No firearms w/in 1000 yds of any school, including CCW (because God forbid a legally armed school employee protect the kids from a lawless idiot)
-Fixed mag requirement on Assault rifles (now trying to ban bullet buttons on ARs)

such laws really persuade one to think that CA is deliberately trying to make firearms more dangerous so as to allow outright bans more popular!

Florida is the best IMO.
CCW permit no wait and no limit to number of purchases.
No CCW permit 3 days at a FFL
No CCW permit and don't want to wait 3 days? Buy from a private seller.

TN is good. Don't need a CCW to purchase and the background check takes less than an hour. No limits on number of guns.

Here in MS. you can buy ten a day if you can afford it, wish I could.
If you have a CCP they don't even have to call it in, you can get it & go as fast as you can write filling out the paper work!
