Guide Rod tab bent???

I was cleaning my wife's sc 9mm and noticed the tab on the guide rod is bent. I checked my sc 9mm and its perfectly flat. Would this be a warranty issue? The gun is about a year old with about 200 rds through it.

I would send a pic to sa. They most likely send you a new guiderod.

Also check to see if there is any damage on the lug where the spring fits.

Not sure. The gun hasn't been shot for 6-8 months. I just bought a new one so we took them to the range and ran around 75 rounds through both and they functioned perfectly. I emailed SA with a pic so hopefully I will hear something soon.

It looks like you dropped it. Or dropped something on it.

Knowing SA, they will still probably warrant it!

Isn't there a ridge just forward of the spot where the guide rod goes (working from memory here)? I wonder if it might have gotten hooked there the last time it was reassembled, and the first shot reset it to the right spot, but with enough force to bend it.

Just a theory.

No it wasn't dropped or something dropped onto it. Called SA and within 2 minutes no questions asked they said a new one would be shipped out today. I am now wondering if when I reassembled it maybe I didn't seat it properly???? Either way I'm glad I bought a Springfield.
