I have used my permit twice. Delayed both times. Must be some dirt bag with the same name out there.

I've only purchased one handgun and did not leave a single space blank on my nics form. I had to wait 3 business days. I was told that in the state of Georgia that a concealed carry permit allows you to skip the background check. I will be applying for one on Monday. I really hated waiting and don't feel like waiting when I purchase a firearm on my birthday. As long as you answered the questions honestly I wouldn't sweat it.

Stop going to the over priced big box stores, and go to the small family shops that will follow the law and use the conceal permit instead of making up their own rules.

In FL CWFL has nothing to do with the BG Check. Out of every say 4 guns I purchase , 1 will come back conditional. It's annoying , weird , and random. I got my LCR a month ago no problem , today - delayed. Ughhh

But don't worry it's not uncommon.

The mom/pop shops around me didn't have much of a selection, so I didn't mind paying an extra $20 for the exact model I wanted..otherwise I would've purchased from one of them.

I'll be getting my CCW this month as well. So hopefully I can avoid this hassle next time.

Yes, I was arrested, detained (for 3 hrs) & fingerprinted. Then bonded out same evening. Appeared in court a month later, paid a fine, etc. That was like 15 years ago in UT.

The background check specifically asked if I had any felony convictions or domestic violence related charges. That answer is absolutely not. So I checked No.

Maybe it was held up due to prior military, and/or fingerprinting. Who knows...

IMHO--I do believe that the ATF has wishes of discouraging (or at least slowing) lots of quick gun purchases..especially as of late with all these random shooting all over our country. Too bad the NRA isn't as strong (legislatively speaking) as we all wish it was or could be. Having said that, it's still another record year for gun sales. This increase seems to be highly relative with the upcoming elections, and ultimately a zombie apocalypse...or is that the same event ? ..tehee
