Slop in the slide on xd 40
I noticed today if i wiggle my slide when on the pistol side to side it has some slop or wiggles. Is this normal? Loose for better reliablity in harsh conditions? I was just curious if your guys slides kinda wiggle or have any slop?

Nearly every Service pistol has loose tolerances to let them function when dirty. They reach a certain level of crudness and then the crud just starts getting pumped out by the actions of the moving parts.

As long as the barrel locks up tight in the same spot, no issue.

It's a combat handgun not a custom fitted 1911, it's fine.
