New XD40sc, how adjust sights...

Fired the first 40 rounds on two targets, all hit paper, but mostly center and to the right of aim point. Did the same on 2 fresh targets. Not my first handgun, had a 1911a1. Seems the rear sight needs a small adjustment, how is this done? Any help appreciated, I'll post pic of targets l8ter.. Thanks!

you use a sight pusher, however, I would shoot it more before doing that.

You're not familiar with the gun with only 40 rounds through it. Shoot more and practice. I promise they'll adjust themselves.

You may be pulling your shots. Make sure you have correct finger placement on the trigger and are pulling straight back.

I wouldn't touch the sights! Keep shooting I was left a lot and high when I first got my xd just touch couple hundred rounds get comfortable and they are surely coming in closer and closer every time I go back out to shoot.

It's not the gun. If your muscle memory is built on a 1911 single action trigger, you will need some practice to get used to the xd trigger.

figured it out

Ok guys, I figured it out, I was use to the 1911 trigger and this xd trigger is a bit different. I had to make sure I was using my fingertip pad on the trigger and get used to the safety trigger deal.... Now I'm hitting center mass, hit 4 in 3 inch diameter in bullseye of target! Just a different kind of animal I guess... Thanks for everyones input! God Bless.
