Customized my Bi-Tone XDm a little... PICS

(wasnt sure if this was the correct area to post in)

I read a post on how to do "color fill" with finger nail polish so i gave it a shot today. Once I got into it I decided that a polished barrel would look nice as well so why not try on your first gun you've ever owned that was about $700! I thought id show you all.
I think it looks pretty good for the first try. I was a little hesitant to do all this since i just bought the gun Jan. 13th and shot it for the first time yesterday.

That does look good. I only shined my barrel.
Is that kind of a satin finish what you get when you shine the slide? I like that look. I guess you just keep it well oiled to prevent corrosion.

Looks great. Please share your processes for these 2 tricks or the resources you used. How do you wipe off the excess nail polish? Do you using rubbing alcohol?

I seconded this comment ^ as I want to do something to mine this week. Might try a different color but that does look sick. And what did you use to do the last photo effect?
