20,000?
Who said Xd's are not reliable?
Actually, after about 1000 rounds the visible signs of wear appear to stay the same. Good to see one with that many rounds, thanks for sharing.

I am pretty much blown away, i will probably be replacing some things just for peace of mind. I think the XD will forever be my carry gun. S.A. gets an A+ on this one.

Thanks for the pics! Hows the slide look? I love the look of a well worn pistol.

i realized after i posted that i forgot slide pics. The slide has some scratches on it from me falling while hiking, but as far as wear, its extremely minimal. i did notice that the steel case ammo ive been running for the past 2500 rounds or so has accelerated the wear on the extractor but noting weird goin on.
if wear = character like everyone says, my pistol has got lots of character

At my lgs the other day I was browsing around and listening to the conversation between the sales guy and a customer. They were going back and fourth about a used sc9xd. Sales guy was goin on about replacing the springs and what not. I asked to see it, it looked like it had rarely been fired. I asked the sales guy if he minded if I showed him my 40sc with 2500 rnds through it he said sure. Cleared my pistol, pulled the slide off for a side by side comparison. It was night and day. I said my praises about the xd. I mentioned i knew of a few folks that had many thousands fired through theirs and had never changed anything. The guy bought the 9 a few mins later.
I usually mind my own business, but I felt I had to say something this time.

i shoot 3-4 times a week, there have been times when that was not possible but for the most part, 3-4 times a week. Each time at the range usually results in about 2000-3000 empty casings. Had it for about two years.

Hi,good to hear that, shooting that much in just a couple of years i feel so confident that mine, have an HS9 myself, can replicate that without any trouble, but surely not that close, i'm saying in a matter of just two years, one thing i'm sure is you surpassed many oldtimers here regarding round counts on their XD9s,BTW, do you handload/reload youself? Thanks for sharing!!! Stay Safe
