Tap, Rack, Roll
1. Tap the bottom of the magazine to ensure that it is properly seated.
2. Rack the slide while simultaneously rolling the gun so that the ejection port is towards the round. This lets gravity help clear the ejection port.
If it goes "click" instead of "bang" after the TRR drill; extract the mag, cycle the action 3 or 4 times, check the chamber to be sure it is clear, insert fresh mag, rack the slide.
TRR is a "tactical" thing and some ranges may not be happy if you use it immediately upon getting a misfire. On the range, you sould keep the gun pointed downrange for 30 seconds in case of a "hangfire" (I've personally never had one with modern ammo) before clearing the gun.
Men who for truth and honor's sake
Stand fast and suffer long.
Brave men who work while others sleep,
Who dare while others fly...
They build a nation's pillars deep
And lift them to the sky. - Emerson
"He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." - Nietzche
