Is my barrel bowed?
At the end of my XD-9 sc my barrel feels like it has a little hump within the last 3/4 of an inch of the barrel. Is this normal, because I don't remember it before?
Or am I just paranoid?

Sir, you have put my mind at ease
I couldn't remember it it was there when I had bought it originally or not. It is ever so slight and it doesn't look like the warping I have seen in pics of a squib getting stuck in there.

It's normal.
A squib wouldn't cause a bulge, shooting a full power round with the squib still in the barrel would.

Well, that's what I mean. The deviation from the rest of the barrel is so slightly off that it didn't seem like it was caused by that.

I am guessing the bulge serves the same function as a barrel bushing. It keeps the barrel centered in the slide when the gun is in battery, ready to fire.

There is no problem,
but paranoid is good, others just call it being cautious.
