Yup, They're loud as hell. Don't shoot them at night while expecting any kind of accuracy lol. It would be fun to shoot one but not a good carry gun by any means.

From personal experience that Dawson front sight is going to be worthless within 10-25 rounds depending on the ammo.

I'm still new the whole handgun scene, what exactly does this do to for you? What does it make better, as well as what does it make worse? It just helps with the recoil right?

I dont fully get it either. Less weight on the slide and barrel seems like MORE flip up during fire to me... I am also not a fan of the missing sections of slide. Very Pimp my Ride-esque looking to me. But I hate on the colored engravings guys too so don't listen to my grumpy ***..

It reduces muzzle flip a bit by porting gases through the vent. They push down on the barrel.

Interesting...my wife has a V-10 that's a .45 ACP and all steel. Sorta reminds you of a Colt Defender in dimensions. Ported. Is that the same gun as the poly version? It gets confusing trying to talk to someone and explaining, "Oh, I have the steel version."

The V-10 was a factory version of the xd. I don't know if they still produce them or not. The gsr coming out of the vents just covers everything including the front sights. Very dirty.

I'm hoping that this post doesn't offend anyone.
SA built two different ported 1911 pistols.
The V16 in Government size and the V10 Compact.
They also built the V10 XD models.
