My XD SC 9 rnd magazine holds 10
Hi, I'm brand new to this forum. I just purchased a XD, and had a question. My .40 s&w magazine which is advertised to hold 9 rounds holds ten. Went to range and tested and had no issues through 300 rounds. Does anyone know why my mag holds ten? Is it normal?

It's not unusual to be able to force one more round into a magazine. However, if the slide is forward, I don't think you can fit the magazine all the way into the gun so about all that is good for would be to avoid magazine removal and reinsertion to get 9+1.

Newbie here and just got a XD9SC. Is your's a 9 round, err 10 round, because it's a california gun or something? When I bought mine it came with a 13 rnd mag and a 16 rnd mag.
...Never mind, just read yours is a .40
