Need some major advice

Thank you very much for all the help. I will be getting the XD 45 compact. Anyone know how much I should be paying? I see them from the $480 to $600 range online. The local gun shop here did not have one in stock nor have any info. Do you just call SA to get the 3 free mags?

Depends on the barrel length on the XD 45 Compact. They come in different flavors just like the grips.

For my money(if I had it to spend) I'd pick up the XD45 Compact with the 5" barrel.

But I'm a fan of the 9mm round so I'm looking at the XDm 9 compact.

I didn't even realize that living in CA you can only go up to ten rounds in the mag. I called another gun shop up the road and they want 599 for the xd 45 compact. Online they are going for low 500.

You'll need your original Sales Receipt. You should get 3 emails from SA. The first will be a Confirmation that they received your Promo Submission. The second, will be an Acceptance Email, stating that your submission has been accepted and is being processed. The third, will be a Fed-Ex Tracking Number for your package.

FYI, if it's been as fast as most of us have received ours, you're more than likely going to get the Mags before you get the Tracking Number! Most have been delivered in under two weeks. Kudo's to SA for their Speedy Service!

Also, for the XD45 Compact, looks like you'll get 3 10rd Mags, whether you choose the 4" or 5" Model, plus you'll get the Dual Mag Pouch.

As for price, my area here in Texas, prices these babies between $550-$700. So, if you can get one for $480-$600, then you're doing pretty good!

I vote XD compact too for CCW!!! I wish there were more XDm Compacts....9mm is kool but I wouldn't mind a 40S&W XDm compact. IF you hold out to wait for a XDm45 compact, the promo will be over.....{I'm sure it will come back again} FYI...Pearce Grip ROCKS!

Just finished the purchase of my XD 45 compact! I got the xd for $475 out the door. Didn't have to pay tax and also received a Firefighter discount Once it comes in Ill send off for the 3 free mag deal as well. Pretty happy about the price and customer service I received from my local gunsmith.

Now its time to order up some ammo to break in my xd. Where is the best place to buy ammo? Would also like to find out what round is known to have the most stopping power. I have some black talon's but would like to have more or something similar.
