If your not going to cc it then it is a great choice. Is take a forty over nine. It seems to be easier to get than nine is only a dollar or two more per box and I have more faith in a bigger bullet to stop someone in a hd situation.

Thanks for helping me confirm that the $400 I paid for my used one (in sig & pic'd) which came with about $80 in spare ammo was a good deal too.

I see used ones listed for $500.00 to $550.00 every day. So I think 470.00 is not too much.

It all depends on if you are happy with it. That is not a bad price for it, I mean its not the best but you could have paid more. There are so many different sellers that its hard to get the lowest price ever anywhere. I paid $450 for my xd .45 , but a buddy paid $520 for his. If you like it keep it, if it does what you want it to do, keep it, if you hate it take it back!

Update... I decided to stay with the .40 tactical and have put about 200 rounds through the gun. Great buy. I am very happy with the way the gun feels in my hand as well as how accurate it was right out of the box.
I don't care if the ammo is a little more expensive than 9mm.

That's why I tell people don't fret too much about price when it comes to guns. If THAT'S what you want, then get it, you will quickly spend more in ammo than you will save shopping to the last centavo.

Congratulations on the new gun, 40 is a good caliber, I like it for the woods, it penetrates better than either the 9 or 45.
