Oh yeah.(late at night here, kind of groggy myself and definitely NOT playing w/my gun)
About 4 years ago I had a piece of 1/4" plywood fly back from the tablesaw and crush the joint on my pinky. Not quite as much damage as that but very similar.(Only 18 stitches) Painful, but I barely notice it anymore. The only time I do is when it's about to rain.

glad your mostly intact. hope it heals up and everything works right.
know a guy that did something very similar while disassembling his kahr.
it only takes a second, any of us that have had an AD/ND know that. mine was aimed in a safe direction but still have a .357sig round lodged in one of my floor joists.

You didn't possibly have a beer or two at your dinner did ya? HAHA glad your not too badly damaged. Hope you see a speedy recovery. When I was a kid I accidently shot my younger brother in the hand with a B.B. gun I though was not loaded. Even though it was just a little wound it could have just as well been his eye. I have to this day not forgiven myself, which is good in a way as it serves a constant reminder of how dilligent to be about firearm safety.
