All i can say is left or right the holster that comes with the kit is no good for daily carry. Maybe for use when your at the range , but thats just my $.02

Hey guys, thanks for the info. I was leaning towards the Essentials package and you helped re-affirm my thoughts. I plan to get the crossbreed supertuck for concealed carry.

I am a lefty also. When I bought my XD9 I called SA and asked about a holster and they shipped me a paddle holster the same week free of charge. You can't beat that. There are better holsters out there, but for free you can't beat the price.

I have been researching, reading, window shopping, and then more researching on my next handgun purchase. I have it narrowed down to the XD subcompact or 4" service model in .40cal. Looking online (0n bud's), they have either of these for $439 in the Essential package...meaning, cheap box, two clips, manual, and bore brush. On the other hand, they have the package with the XD Gear for $470 (for either of these models).
For this price, I feel that it is worth it to opt up to the $470 package with the XD Gear. However, I am left handed and the holster appears to be made for a right hand carry. I have read all over Sprinfield's website and can find nothing about getting the holster in a left hand version.
Surely, one of you guys has to be a lefty and ran into this situation before.....
Any imput??

Welcome from Nashville. No one else said it so here goes. I have never seen a XD come with a Clip or a Clip loader?!? JUST BUSTING YOUR BALLS!! As for the left handed holster you can call Springfield and they will send you a left hand PADDLE HOLSTER for FREE. The one that comes with the kit ,you are correct IS a Right hand BELT LOOP style holster, which kinda sucks. The left hand paddle holster is pretty nice if you are a lefty. They come in real handy for range use. Have a good one..
Oh and.........

I'd pass on the "free" tupperware. Suitable for range use at best.

Get the essentials and a good mag loader. The only thing I use is the mag loader. The holster I have used a few times at the range, but the magazine holder I have never ever used.
