Fortunately I married an angel and she is understanding. This is a new hobby for me and originally I was just going to buy the XD, but my buddy made a good point that 9mm ammo isn't exactly cheap and a .22 is a good investment also for target practice. So a little food for thought, and maybe a point to bring up with the little lady tomorrow.

i see the all black xds any caliber going for $469, and the bi-tone, any caliber going for $509, also any size. i paid about $545 for my bi-tone sevice .40 cal, was the cheapest in the area, so personally id say shop around but state to state prices may or may not be different
