XD9 Tactical opinions?

I am looking for opinions from owners of the XD9 Tactical model. What is the approx. round count through your XD9 Tactical and after owning it for awhile, what is your opinion of it compared to a service model or other comparable 9 m/m's? I have my eye on buying an 9, but I'm not quite sure which model that I want. It will not be for CCW purposes. I carry an XD40sc as an off duty weapon.

I have both a Svc and Tac in 9mm. If carrying is no concern, I would definitely get the Tac. They both shoot great, but I prefer the extra barrel length and sight radius. I also prefer the guide rod style, and the ability to more easily swap springs.

Can you notice a difference in the balance of each loaded weapon?

I have both as well (sc and Tactical in 9mm). I love both, but prefer to shoot the tactical. It feels great in your hands and shoots great as well. I did get the Springfield carry trigger job on it and that made a small improvement - not as much as I thought it would. I carry the SC most everyday. Both have been flawless, each with nearly 2000 rounds through them.

I have a 9mm tac and a .40 service in winter I prefer carrying the 9mm tac seems lighter and thinner to me but that's just me.

I do prefer the balance of the Tac, but really they both feel great in hand.
