Will a 9MM round go through a person?
Assuming it hits center mass. If it hits the a person, will it go through a couple of walls (drywall) and a brick wall?

I'm not sure I understand your question(s).
Can a 9mm shot into a person's center mass go through the person?
Yes. Many factors play into the probability of it happening, most importantly the type of ammo & distance from the target.
Will the bullet continue through a couple of drywalls?
Assuming it doesn't strike a stud, yes - very unlikely but again, it depends on the factors above.
Brick, after going through a person?
That would be one heck of a round. No.
Are you really asking about the safety concerns of having a firefight in your home?

Yes I am. My house is surrounded by brick and mortar on all four outside walls. I am trying to get an idea of the penetration.

Depends what it hits on its way through the body. I've seen many GSW;s where the projectile was never recovered.

That's a horse of a different color...
First off, I'm assuming that you're using ammo designed for personal defense (e.g., HShock, Gold Dot, etc). Even if you miss your target (which is a better way to assess the risks), you might shatter a brick - but your neighbors would likely be fine. That same ammo would certainly go through drywall on a miss, but the round is designed to have a high impact / knockdown force. A lot of energy would be lost going through a drywall. Someone just on the other side of the drywall would not be fine - but you have a lower risk of killing someone on the other side with this ammo.
If you shot a higher velocity FMJ round through the drywall, it would not lose nearly as much energy.
It would be interesting to see an indoor ballistic study on various size and ammo types. Perhaps some of the more seasoned individuals have a link.

In general, by design, a standard Full Metal Jacket 9mm round has penetrative attributes. Compared to .40 or .45 which are designed to expand upon impact thus slowing velocity through a target.

If you're using personal defense rounds and you hit a person center mass more than likley no. Defense rounds are made to stop inside a person so the chances of it going though a bad guy and then a couple of walls (drywall) are very slim.

Other than dimensional differences attributed to diameter and bullet weight, there is little difference in construction of a 9mm, .40S&W, or .45ACP FMJ bullet and nothing that gives them expansion capabilities upon impact. The only readily available FMJ that I am aware of that is designed to expand upon impact is the Federal EFMJ - which is available in 9mm Luger, .40S&W, and .45ACP.
On a different note, for those who aren't familiar with it, the boys over at The Box O' Truth certainly appear to have a good time shootin' through drywall and other miscellaneous items. http://www.theboxotruth.com/
