Will a 9MM round go through a person?

9mm can easily blow through 6 walls of sheet rock. Would it have enough energy though to break through 1 Dry-Wall, Insulation, Brick Venier (which is non structural), outside, through the fence, into another brick wall and into another dry-wall? I'd doubt it, but evidence of 9mm going through 6 boards of sheet rock is compelling evidence that 9mm has a tremendous amount of penetration.

buckshot is what was used in the test with the 12 guage. Birdshot is a lot less likely to go through walls as much if you are worried about using in a house.

When it warms up around here, I plan on building a section of a normal wall you'd find in a house, then an exterior wall with brick. I've been curious about this also, seeing what penetration you will get with different rounds and structures.

I worry about overpenetration with any gun because I live in an apartment. Even tho my goal is to save my life if I have to defend myself in the apartment, the last thing I want to have happen is to hit or kill my innocent neighbor. As stated several times though, be aware of what's beyond your target. If you are able to get to a safe room in your house, attempt to position yourself so if you have a confrontation.. the round if you miss or go through the person, will travel in a somewhat safe direction.
