What are people's experiences with high cap 20/higher round magazines? I want to get some for my BOB xd 40 and service model. Not sure who makes the most reliable options.

I don't think that there IS a reliable manufacturer yet. That is the ONLY reason I have considered getting a Glock...however...I might as well just get an XDm 9mm with a bunch of 19 round mags.

I would consider getting the +springs and magazine extension kits if you want a few more rounds.

I don't have any experience with hi-cap magazines at all. Don't trust non-factory mags, won't buy 'em. Although I might change my tune when the zombies attack...

All kidding aside, if you need more than a full mag of .40's for self-defense, think about upgrading to an AR-15-style rifle.

I really just want them as a last resort addition to my bug out bag. that way I can carry extra ammo in a useable platform.
