Buyer Incentives?

I didn't get into the handgun market until April, but I've been hearing about magazine incentives and such that Springfield used to offer. I've also heard of similar incentives from S&W on their M&P pistols.

Why aren't there any incentives now? Is it a seasonal thing, or just random?

I'm guessing that sales are up, so maybe the manufacturers have no reason to offer free stuff, but I wanted to ask to be sure.

Nothing offered now, they are selling like hotcakes... whatever those things are anway.

Nope, nothing extra. You're guessing right. No (incentive/giveaway) when they can't produce enough to meet current or foreseeable future sales demand. Still get the plastic carry box with foam, 2 mags, cable lock, brush, and a functional holster and extra mag holder (useful until you buy ones that fit your purpose) and owner manual. Next to the carry case, the manual is the most useful item and probably answers about half the noob XD/XDm questions posted in the forum.

Not all noob questions though... Anyway, the XD Gear is probably the closest thing to an "Incentive" that they have now, since the gun market is BOOMING.
