Slide release... need help

Slide release... need help
Alright well I was wondering how to get at the slide release to swap it out for an aftermarket one? Also anyone know how hard it is to do? Thanks

Disassemble the frame as per this link: Springfield Armory XD and HS2000.com
The slide release pivots on the rear pin that holds in the locking block. You should be able to take out that pin, remove and replace the slide stop, and re-insert the pin.

^^ Yeah, all you need to do is remove that rear pin. Be careful you properly align the trigger when re-inserting the pin, as that also uses the pin for alignment, and ensure that the slide release spring is properly located on top of the slide release when you re-position it before replacing the pin.

wow that was quite easy. LOL About a 20 sec job. LOL THanks and I was trying to find that page with all the disassembly information.
