no bang

About 2 years ago I had a trigger job done by one someone highly recommended on this forum. Loved it.

Only about 500 rounds through it in that time and now the gun won't fire.

Comparing it to my stock 9mm XD subcompact it looks like the lever that rises to disengage the safety doesn't rise high enough.

Anything I can do at home or do I need to send it out?

I honestly don't remember who did the trigger job and am not implying that the trigger job is related to the problem.

Need a little more info... Are you getting light strikes or is the striker not moving rearward or is it not releasing etc...?

not sure really, the indicator on the back shows when it is cocked and moves forward when the trigger is pulled and I do hear a click.

When this first started I was able to reload the round that didn't go off and shoot it. Now it doesn't work at all.

Shooting the same Remington ammo that I always have.

Sounds like light strikes on the primer. Not a difficult fix usually. Do you have the original striker spring? Are you comfortable taking your slide apart yourself?

My guess would be a dirty striker channel or a weak spring. If the trigger job included an aftermarket striker spring then I would guess that that is the culprit.
