1ST Generation HS2000

Someone just offered to sell me his HS2000 with one 10rd mag. It is the first generation. The mag has no manufacture markings on it. The gun is in excellent condition. Besides the potential finish problems & the low cap. mag., are the older versions inferior to the newer ones? I can probably buy it for $200-250. I own several other 9MM pistols, but always liked the XD's. It has a 4" barrel.
Are high cap mags readily available?

I own an HS2000 (first generation model without any rail on it) and have many many many thousands of rounds through it without ANY malfunctions of any kind.

I had it Duracoated, not because it needed it, but because I was sending another gun in for finishing and figured why not get it done at the same time...and I had TFO Truglo sights installed as well.

If you can get it for that price range, jump on it! If you don't want it, let me know and maybe I'll pick it up to sell to make a couple bucks!

The best part about the HS2000 is it takes the same magazines as the XD9. I have 2 high cap magazines for my HS2000. I have had mine since the beginning and let me tell you, if someone was selling one for $200-$250 I would be all over it faster then you can say dam. I have put more rounds through mine then I can count. I even compete with it in a fast fire competition because I know I can hit anything with it and I am very comfortable with it.

Went to the range today & fired the HS2000. Very impressed with how natural it points. I do mostly instinctive shooting & was impressed with how I was able to shoot fast & accurate without sights out to 30ft.
This may become my favorite.
