I would stay away from mecgar if you can- used one in my ruger I had one time. Bought it simply because it was cheaper than the oem mag. It didn't feed worth a darn and when I would unload rounds in mad- the spring was weak and bullets would barely index up to mag lip. Last time I was a cheap skate when buying mags.

just my 2 cents.....

I have 2 MecGar mags for my XD40 Tac and have had no trouble at all with them. Shot them in a steel match and they ran flawlessly. Yes they can be used in the Sub Compact, not sure if the sleeve will work like the factory mag but it will stick out and run. I'll have to see if the sleeve looks right.

The sleeve will fit on the Mec-Gars, but it is just really tight. Don't plan on trying to take it off.

Sounds like you are talking about ProMags and not Mecgar. Mecgar are top-notch, the reason they make more than half of the OEM mags in the marketplace.

Mecgar are great mags. Many of my OEM mags for my various guns are really Mecgar. So you can buy'em with confidence.
