Any suggestions on some parts to have on hand?

I've been on this forum for a while and haven't really noticed any high failure parts. You should buy a Keltec so you can keep parts on hand.

Got some more of those brass-colored thingies that go into the clip. I seem to go through a lot of those.

I can't really think of any parts that fail.

I have a lot of spare parts, but they're more for loss while cleaning than anything else. I've lost a spring once while cleaning; I now have backups for most of the springs. I also have pins, an ejector, and a spare new guide rod for my 9mm.

You can get most of these things direct from SA, and several XDTalk sponsors offer them as well.

Here's a link to my cache of spare parts:

buy all the replacement parts that SA offers.. that way, you actually have it on hand if it breaks.. go to Pistol Gear and look for the parts..

here is a suggestion: buy another gun. Then, when your first gun needs parts, send it in for repair and use your second. just thinking outloud.

I just ordered (and received) some springs & pins; I figured since I've been tinkering it would be a good idea to have backups.

I did notice that the 'OEM' parts I received don't seem to fit quite right...the chamber indicator pin slides in too easily (and thus might fall out) compared to the original, whereas the striker retaining roll pin is a bit too large in diameter to fit in the hole. I tried crimping it down with pliers but no dice. I guess in a pinch I'd file it down, but my personal recommendation would be to order directly from Springfield if the parts are available.
