Was "given" my XD40 back...

I had posted my XD40 for sale in the trading post trying to raise extra cash for my families relocation from KY back to MI. When my wife found out she wouldn't hear of it and took my XD and put in the wifes protection plan.

Now that we are moved...I have been given back so I can go register it with the LEO.

My Wife is the BEST.

Chris

Oh and sorry for all the failure to replys on the ad in trading post, I was offline for a bit...and oviously couldnt find my pistol!

Welcome back to Mi.... It is definatly a registraition half the time I have to show the officer in my home town how to use it the first xd I brought in he could not get the slide open and rejected gun for that reason after I showed the proper way to (safely) handle pistol (depress grip safety) he thought it was the coolest thing and I got my green card on the way out the door I file them in the trash//

well

I do you do NOT need them afterwards I actually bring them home and shred them they are useless. The only purpose I know of is so if police respond to your house they know there are 83 handguns in your house I imagine swat will show to my pad not the police One of the officers one time made the comment that if I call they are sending body bags and a corner if I call not sure were that came from but I smiled and when about my business

You have my condolances for going to Michigan. I left before Michigan became a shall issue state & it took over 3 months for Oakland County to issue a limited hunting permit. Here in Montana I can carry openly anywhere outside a city limits or concealed most anywhere inside. Permits take a max of 60 days.

If I were you I would keep the green cards, I needed them to prove that I really owned guns when they were stolen. The city/town of Waterford wouldn't take the effort to look up the registation.
