I think there were plans on making this, and it never happened. i have not heard of any recent plans to start developing one again. but if you do find one please let us know!

There is nothing...yet. There was some prototypes in the past, but they were dropped. Scott (from Springer Precision) says that there are some in the works, but can't disclose any details. Hopefully we will see something this year!

Personally I'm glad to see this keep coming up. Maybe someone with some machining skills will create one and I would gladly pony up some $ for one.

It takes a bit more than just machining skills. Something like$500,000 at a minimum just to produce the first few working units.
As has been stated there are a couple of people working on it.
