Thats normally how i do it, maybe a few steps flipped but i also use q tips to remove my rail grease before applying new grease.

cleaning from the muzzle is acceptable to you? remind me to put your name down on the "do not buy used guns from..." list.

to the op, i can dig what you're trying to do here, but listen to your self..."watch the video in reverse. that's how i usually do it." "i was pressed for time." blah blah blah. your effort is valiant, but if you put up bad information, it is also in vain. cheers!

Too bad you didn't learn how to give constructive criticism. Maybe you also learned to be a repetitive monkey from your grandpa.

That's fine kid, don't buy any used guns from me.

I don't see how doing that screws up the gun. Not everyone can clean guns like gramps I guess.

the crown of the muzzle has a great effect on the accuracy of any gun...screw that up, and you need a gunsmith to recrown your gun. i've always been told to clean from the breech out for two reasons...1, you won't push all that junk back in to the workings. and 2, you won't damage the crown of the muzzle. maybe that's not important to you, but i have guns that are 60+ years old and shoot sub-moa. proper gun care is important to me.

wtfh...you want constructive criticism? get a camera that doesn't look like it wobbles. speak clearly into the microphone. call the lower part of a weapon the receiver. clean the barrel when it's out of the pistol. in fact, clean the whole gun while it's apart...don't reverse direction while cleaning the bore. and most important, make a video that doesn't require clarification later on. that said, thanks for the effort and the insults. ****.

Lol, sounds like lil mr. Amish is getting frustrated.
1. Webcams tend to not have too great of quality. Mentioned it in previous videos, way to catch up with the topic
2. Its a pistol. I can point at the lower part of the weapon and chances are viewers will have a better understanding than form me simply saying "reciever".
3. Usually do clean the barrel when its out. Again catch up to the times by reading previous posts. ^_^
4. How do you not reverse directions while cleaning the bore. Its got a grip on the other end so you gotta pull it back out dip****. ^_^

Oh ****, someone just got ****in told.

Now GTFO mah postz.

This thread has certainly taken an aggressive turn...

I don't own a gun yet, so a video on cleaning is a great thing. For whatever it's worth, here's my thoughts as a newbie:

1. Anyone who makes the effort to put together a video should be commended
2. If said producer of video asks for feedback, it should be accepted without getting defensive
3. Based on the considerable experience present in this forum, it appears the consensus is that the video in its original form has room for improvement
4. How about simply taking the video down, setting some time aside, and making it over again?

I would absolutely love to see a video of the generally accepted method for cleaning an XD. I know I would personally benefit greatly from it.

Rather than get on each other about he said/she said/re-read the post stuff, I vote for a re-release of the video.
