ok so i am loading my mags, i only have the 2 that came with my xd-9. i bought a box of 20 seer shots, fired one and the range leaving me with 19...

so i loaded one mag and it is packed tight, i am using the speed loader. i have 3 bullets left, which means that there are 16 in the mag. on an xd-9 that is where it should be.

so im holding it and notice that it rattles when i shake it. so i unload all the bullets and load my second mag.

when it is packed tight i only had 2 bullets left! (on another note it didnt rattle)

so one of my mags is holding 17 bullets, wtf?

also i notice that when i take one out of the "cool" mag making 16 or equal to the second mag, it will rattle as well, but neither do it when they have 15 rounds and again the special one doesnt rattle when it has 17 rounds, just 16. whats up with that and is it normal???

i can fit 11 in my XD9SC mags using my upLula. it's tight, but it'll still function.

My husband's new magazines fit 17. My older ones fit 16.

so i called SA and she talked to a tech, they want me to send the mag back for replacment.

they emailed me a ship label but i went unloaded the mag (again counted 17) and put it in the other one that only held 16 and for some reason all 17 went in. it isnt tight either, with the speed loader it pushes down just as easy as if there were 5 rounds in it. PLUS neither of them rattle any more with any number of rounds!

i went back a forth and now for some reason both EASILY hold 17 rounds.

wendy has ur husband fired it with 17 rounds and no problem? i think i might just keep them.

Weird. I'll have to check it out. I actually thought I might of loaded 17 bullets the last time I was at the range. I thought I was going crazy but I guess not !!

Mine also hold 17rd. but a little tight.

My XD40 mags hold 13 very easy no extra force just like loading round 1. I thought it was weird but never questioned it because all 5 of my mags do it.

Never though to check until I saw this thread... both mags for my new XD-9 hold 17, no problem. Guess I've got to go back to the range to make sure they function that way, now.
