XD 40 Sub Compact Ejection Scratches

I have a XD SC BI Tone.
I have noticed that the blueing on the top of the ejection port that is part of the barrel is showing bare metal. Just on the outer edges, Springfield
tells me that this is normal I am worring about rust. Shot 100 rnds through it. Does everyone else see this with there XD?

Thanks

Na, just my first pistol and enjoy shooting it. But when I noticed the scratches I was curious. I also found where people are polishing the
barrels, Looks great.

Yeah i've been thinking about doing the same too mine but i wouldn't worry about rust too much...just give it a good cleaning after every trip to the range..

I hadn't really paid any attention before since you said it, I check, and every one of my XD's are the same as you described. It's normal... not a problem at all.

Unless you are polishing the cr@p out of it, I wouldn't worry about rust. You aren't getting through the meloniting. The Bluing isn't the full extent of the finish.
