year and model?
How can you tell how old your gun is? I saw a few diff xd40sc's on here, and one of them looked a little different then mine?
Is there any tells that let you know if you have a new gen model, or a old one? or what

Contact SA and give the your Serial #, they will tell you. That is assuming you don't have the dated test fired casing, which will give you an approximation.
BTW, what visible differences did you see that makes you think yours is newer/older?

Call Springfield, It's a quick call usually. I called them the other day to find when my 1911's were made.
