1st day of carry

well my ctac finally showed up today(usps lost the 1st one). after experimenting with the cants and locations i went with a foreward cant and at 8:30. went out to eat to red lobster and then to jcpenny's to get another pair of shorts and then home no problems what is the best location to have it for a left handed shooter? also how much easier is it to conceal the sub compact?

It's made for the 4:30 location. That's the best hiding position. It's also one of the worst fast draw locations.

I also have just started carrying. I went to the movies tonight and after the movie, I needed to hit up the bathroom. Upon standing at the urinal, I came the realization that my gun was going to print extremely bad when my belt was undone. Has enyone else experienced this? Or is the best idea just to deal with going through the fly? Let me know how you guys deal with it.

Erik

I would not recommend ever unbuckling the belt when one is carrying. I'm 6'1" 185 and never had to do anything but unzip. I am not sure what your physical stature is.
Once you loose the rigid gun/belt platform any hosts of problems can occur. Printing I think would be the least of them. A good double or triple thick gun belt and good quality holster(s) made for differing dress styles can help. I have belts/holsters for suits, casual wear, jeans/ with print pattern shirt. IWB & OWB holsters. Instructor belts for work, sharkskin belt/holsters for dress and black/brown leather for casual. The common denominator is they are all made expressly for carry. Good, thick firm belts, mag carriers and holsters.

Wait till you try and take a dump and have to hold your pants up round your knees..

I carried both a service and then a SC and the SC's smaller grip length definitely has an advantage over the service for concealment, even with a peirce grip extension.
