Congratulations! Be prepared for your wife to want her own XD 9 subcompact after a few trips to the range.

Very accurate. Very Ergonomic. With the interchangeable back straps, it fits my hand better than any other semi auto I have handled (I use the smallest back strap). I can't recall any FTE or FTF with it since I have owned after purchasing new. I certainly recommend the P99. Perhaps the one con is its current price. I think the weak dollar is hurting us in that regard. You might also take a look at the P99 Compact which was a direct competitor to the XD SC for this purchase. XD got the nod though for various reasons this time, primarily as it was a better fit for my wife. If the pricing is palatable, I doubt you would be disappointed with its performance. |
