Firing Underwater
I got my XD40 about a week ago and love it. I've been going through the Wiki and noticed that it has the capability to fire underwater. Has anyone done this and has anyone experienced any problems if you have. I know I would never have to use this weapon underwater but am just curious.
Thanks, Chris |

I know Myth Busters did something like that:
Wiki: MythBusters (season 4) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Video: (not MB) YouTube - Glock 19 underwater Looks like it could work. |

I don't think I'd try it. But good luck if you do.

Just make sure your ears are OUT of the water if you decide to test it.

the gun can shatter and give big injuries to your hand. And if your head is under water it will instantly destroy your eardrums. Due to the compressibility of water any sound underwater is 6x+ more powerful than what you heard in air. Now why you would shoot a gun underwater besides showing off is beyond me, the effective range is terrible plus you risk grave injury and disability.
