Sorry, but a sword is the way to go for underwater zombies, a thin but strong blade, and you have to cut the head off. Traditional made Katana, very strong can cut many heads off many zombies!

As to shooting under water- why bother, the bullet doesn't go far, and if it wrecks the gun, that makes it even stupider. Underwater assassin problem, that's what blades are for.

Pressure and water- I saw what happens with a water filled aluminum can vs an empty can. the empty can has a exit hole just a bit bigger than the entry hole, the water filled has this massive blowout of an exit hole. This huge hole is the result of the hydrostatic force from the bullet's energy, which isn't even that much with a handgun round. I guess if I had shot the same can with a 30-06 I would need to really hunt around to find all the little fragments of what was once the can.

I suppose we just love our XDs too much to put them through that kind of abuse. I'm sure this has been posted elsewhere but its nice to remind ourselves every once in awhile that Glocks are the only indestructible force out there.

You risk not only excrutiating pain from lithtropsy (the same technique used to break up kidney stones), but also from hearing damage. There's special ammo designed for it, but at the same time I would not risk it, as I doubt you're bringing your XD on a maritime excursion.

Hmm. i wonder whether it will fire in space? Those shuttle astronauts have self-defense needs too right?

You don't believe in aliens??? Haha jk...

I would never shoot my gun underwater, just wonder why SA says its capable of doing it and everyone here is speaking against it. Probably to sell guns....
