I read this too and instantly thought, "ok, but why?" Have to admit I was curious too. Thanks for opening the thread so the you tube links could come out (I always forget about that site).

What do you mean why? Aren't we all secret agents here !? We all need a gun to be able to fire underwater at our assassin.

I know with the Glocks you have to use maritime spring cups and maybe solid bullets. No hollowpoints for sure. I wouldn't do it, but I'll watch almost anything.

I believe that G&A TV shot a 1911 Kimber in a pool. The barrel bulged do to inadequate water displacement as the bullet traveled down the barrel.

I'll keep my XD dry thank you.

All Glockers are welcome to add this to their inane torture regimen.

I saw that video too, but it was an SA 1911. don't remember the model.

and yes, it caused the barrel to bulge cause of the water not getting out of the bullets path fast enough. the presure has to go somewhere.

Thumbs up Firing Underwater

There is no way that I could fire any of my XD's underwater. I love them to much. Just the thought of doing that to one of them makes me cringe. I will just have to take SA's word for it.
