i would agree that yelling, right off the bat, would not be very smart.. but if you have the intruder acquired, theyre in your sights and they have no idea where you are.. i then think a direct and stern word of caution would be a very viable tact.

as for your recent rant in this thread.. get over yourself. we dont need Glock Talk wannabes in our humble abode.

Sidebar comment: As a Missouri gunowner, (and soon to be CW carrier) I'm disappointed that Blunt isn't running for re-election. Hopefully he'll run for Senate.

So, yes you are being paranoid about the state using this thread as evidence for anything.

If anything this thread only proves that you were concerned about being prepared and you weren't shooting blindly with disregard ...

and if they make it inside the house...that`s one for the newspaper...
shoot him a couple of times...then call the neighbords..they`ll gladly shoot him a couple of more times just to check he`s well dead....after all that...someone could call the cops.

And this is my 1k post.
and too bad if it happens to be your kid sneaking in late.

I doubt that! You will aim for CM like everybody else in that situation.

It was a joke. I kinda thought you would have picked up on that after I said "say hello to my little friend"...I guess you didn't.

As far as the family of the BG hiring a lawyer to sue you, it has happened before. For instance, here was the FIRST result from a google search of "burglar sues homeowner":

Accused Burglar Sues Homeowner Who Shot Him

Neutralize/eliminate the threat. Use phone and flashlight only after threat has been properly dealt with!! PS Senario said "breaking in". My friends/family dont break in. They use the front door.

ok, you got me on that point. I see some people saying what if it was your kid, grandpa....etc.. Think guys!!! In YOUR situation, how would you handle the situation stated???? ok, in MY house. The dogs are outside, so I know it isn't them, my kids are not living at home, so its not them. Anyone related to me and anyone I care about knows NOT to break into or otherwise gain entry into my house un'announced. So with that said. (thkning to myself) hear a noise, WTF, grab my weapon, move cautionously to the bedroom door, check right, look left and see a dark figure.........
BANG, BANG... I am almost, but not 100% sure, this how it would end up... I don't know if I would have time to identify the "person", or do I want to bet my life or my wife's on me having second thoughts... I would have to say NO... I will protect my life and my family's life. If someone forced entry into my home, without a doubt, our lives are in immediate danger...
So, with that said, YOUR situation MAY be different, Kids, ghosts, bigfoot, stuffed animal ets.. What would you do in YOUR house???
