CLP is harmless.

Now with that said, the paint used on the standard sights will come off and comes from the factory soft, be careful.

Wow you really have to wait 3 das to get your pistol in Florida. I would hate that, but congrats on your new purchase and have fun.

thanks for all the love guys...yeah i bought it thursday and its a 3 business day wait so fri was 24hrs mon was 48hrs today is 72 hrs, i can get it any time tomorrow.

i took the wifey on sunday to fire it, now she wants a SC, lol.

oh yeah, will the white dots come off period or only if i put a solvent on them? and which one do i get, break free clp 2, 5, 7, 4, 12 or 16? are they the same just different sizes?

also the bore snake i found was a hoppe one and it has a bronze brush. one guys told my it was ok to use bronze or copper, another told me it would scratch the barrel and to use nylon. also are there any brands you would recommend for one?

sure, on sunday, the first time i shot it i fired 50 rounds, all went through without failure and all hit within the target (none outside the lines), which was signifigantly different over the h&k p2000 i fired a week prior.

since i was leaving it there after i just wiped it down and didnt do anything else. im sure it will be ok, tomorrow when i pick it up the first thing im doing will be cleaning it with breakfree. (does anyone have an opinion on post #14?)

If you have your CCW, you can take it home after paying for it.

If you don't have your CCW, you have to wait three days, it's a mandatory "cool off" period. Probably saves a lot of cheating husbands lives ...

Only problem with Breakfree is it takes of the grip tape if you have it. Since you don't - no problem.

I use Breakfree to rub everything down,use Hoppes 9 with a bore snake for the barrel,and RemOil for oiling the slide.
