Maybe this is a dumb question but here goes any way. To me on a carry gun that is thin and not to long in the grip is easy to conceal. So why chop the grip and then add a mag with an extension because the slide is easy to hide ? I would think a 5 inch XD would be as good as a 4 inch for carry because the slide and barrel are easy to hide. I can see using the regular mag for the gun and then the back up mag in case you need more ammo and more accuracy,

Thanks,Keith
I agree that barrel length is not an issue, but the grip extension is angled (see Pearce Grip Extension) so the front is longer for your fingers, but the back is still short so it doesn't "poke out" and print. I dunno, I carry a service anyway

Oh man

You did it now. Now I got to check out the XD compact and sub compact. I did not know the grip angle was better for carry,

Thanks,Keith
