Unhappy The ejector is broke

Finally got time to look at the Mrs's XDSC9. After comparing her ejector to some other pics I found stickied on here, her ejector is definately chipped. If you are holding the pistol, slide off, facing away from you, the left side of the ejector is longer then the right. Its not a lot, but enough to have caused the short flight path for shell casings.

The funny thing is, I set up an armorer course through my PD for XD's and 1911's, which would let us order parts direct from SA, but thats not happening until Dec 08, so in the meantime, I have to go through our local armorer for parts.

Thanks for all the input, I really appreciate it. It is comforting to know that even with a bum ejector, the little fella just kept firing away as if nothing was wrong. Gives me a nice warm fuzzy feeling knowing that. Not sure if my G26 would keep chugging, I'm pretty sure my duty gun, Wilson CQB would probably go tits up if that happened.

Can you post a pic?

You can buy an ejector from PistolGear.com for $9.50 plus shipping:

PISTOLGEAR | XD HOLSTER, MAGAZINES AND MORE

or, it sounds like a warranty job for SA.

+1 on letting Springfield take care of it under warranty.

Springfield should send you a new one if you give them a call or email them. It has a lifetime warranty.

I have an SA armorer local, I'd rather not send it in to SA as the last time I had to pay shipping there and wait for a reimbursement check. Do ya'll know if they'd just send me a new ejector or will they want the whole pistol back?

Give them a call, it's in the OK to sell list so I don't see why they wouldn't send you one.

Emailed SA about the ejector, so we'll see what happens. Someone requested pics, so here they are:

Thanks Operator-

That looks like the MIM part and not much broke off comparing it to mine. Keep us up to date!

Lightbulb Lifetime Warranty

Why spent money on spare parts, If you´re covered by a lifetime warranty..maybe they will give you a new one.
