XD vs. HS2000?

I have to be honest about this when I say, that I had never heard of the HS2000 pistol before joining this forum. Are there any mechanical differences from the XD series?

Strange, I had never even looked a them before they became the XD. This shows what good marketing can do for a business. WOW.

The mechanics of the base model of xd and the hs2000 are the same, cosmetics are different in terms of engravings on the slide and stamping on the frame
