steel core/jacketed is typically forum ammo, namely military surplus. If you're getting surplus 7.62 you might have steel core...if it's 5.45 it's almost definitely steel core. I've also seen some handgun cartridges with steel jacketed bullets.

I don't think wal mart sells any of it, so don't worry about it. You usually have to buy the steel stuff off the internet.

thx for the fast replies bro, also i noticed you have a sc also. for some reason its kinda hard to push in the extended 12rd clip while theres rounds in the mag, it wont clip in sometimes or it takes 2 clicks?

I chamberd one bullet and tried ejecting it, and it didnt hop out, do you think this is because its a new gun never shot?

I don't have a SC anymore (sold it recently), but the mags will be a little difficult to insert on a closed bolt/slide when they're full. Happens on most guns. Just use some balls to get in seated (don't go overboard, though...) or insert the full mag with the slide open.

I wouldn't worry about extraction issues unless it's doing it while shooting.

There's certainly worse areas...I'm basically in Ann Arbor, so I don't see all the crap that goes on downtown.

A lot of the areas are getting bad. My area apparently used to be pretty good...but a handful of cars in my complex have been broken into, and someone's apartment was even busted into.

I'll be getting a house soon, though (dearborn heights), so I can keep the car in the garage.

That's about right. I haven't bought .40 in a while so I'm not sure.
