Congrats on the new gun!
The other thing was all clicks and no bangs. I picked up my second and last Taurus not long ago...let me try to describe the experience as best I can. Failure to feed, failure to fire, failure to eject. Safety went on and off at random. Magazine fell out every 3 or 4 shots. No, it wasn't me. I have the same model in another caliber and have shot it probably 500 times with no problems. Lemon!!
On top of that, a little piece fell out from the insides when the grips were off to clean the drenching oil inside it. I couldn't get it back in so that cost more than $70 at a gunsmith. Gun was still crap.
Sent it back to the factory through the dealer who told me that experience suggests that it's liable to take about 4 months to come back.
This is what I meant by all clicks and no bangs making me very happy. The XD-45 works!!
The other great experience was havingmy first 45 and finding it's a nice caliber to shoot. The snappish recoil of smaller calibers makes me flinch and spoils my aim. The push of a 45 doesn't seem to and maybe I can learn to hit a target now.
This gun is wonderful. I like the sghts, the trigger and the whole thing!
