I think they should move the slide release down and back just a little for my small hands. I have seen a couple of pics of a slide lightened up, ie; milled holes in top and front sides that look pretty cool, but I would just want slightly more aggressive serrations and grip. My Hogue slip on is OK, but the sticky sandpaper might work better.

Perosnally I'd love for the XD to have grips similar to that of the H&K USP and MK23 (the grip tape like inserts), and a trigger guard a bit longer (also like the H&K models... extened mag, and slide releases. BLACK MAGAZINES........ vertical serrations would be nice. or even just have more of the slanted serrations... I feel the gun just doenst have enough.... I'd also like to have a pistol laynard attachment point.... similar to 1911's, beretta's, etc.....

+1 on the .22LR version - make it the same size and weight as my tactical .45.

+1 for a manual safety option - I know there are people who don't like them, but I bought an H-K USP 40 Compact for my daily carry gun so I could de-cock the firearm and engage a safety.

Just my $.02.

+1 on that, or maybe springfield can make a sight installer that isnt so spendy and specifically desined for XDs. Shoot the sight installer tool cant be that much to make..

I wish they would include different sized grip backstraps that you can use to custom size the grip for your hand a la the Walther P99. I would have purchased the 45 if the grip could have been adjusted slightly smaller.

I'd probably say that they should offer a 4" compact .40 after the .45 model that takes the 9 round mags. Also, I'd say they should polish the trigger parts at the factory. I did this myself and it improved the XD by leaps and bounds.

A better stock trigger. Move the loaded chamber indicator to where the firing pin indicator is. Stock night sights. Slim down the carry models (width). Longer Mag release... maybe a ruger style button on the mag release. Coated Mags... like the glock. Less Muzzle flip on my SC40.. Drop the price to $99.99 and change the XDgear holster to a IWB leather one. Thats about it, except the obivous(the finish).
